The Matterhorn is located in the Pennine Alps near the town of Zermatt, in the canton of Valais.

How to Get There: Zermatt is the gateway to the Matterhorn. You can reach Zermatt by train from various Swiss cities like Zurich, Geneva, and Bern. Once in Zermatt, the Matterhorn is accessible by cable cars and cogwheel trains, which offer spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes.
